The Wildblood and Queenie Show returns to the 1BTN on Friday 9th August for an off-schedule, hell let’s do it, it’s almost Pride time, Brighton Pride Special as we skip ever-excited through our favourite season of the year. Call it the campest of Camp Corner shows, as we celebrate the gay tunes that sashayed their way into our young minds and converted us to the D.I.S.C.O. side. Paying back those gay men we lost too soon but who gave so much disco joy. Those seven right fancy-dressed gay New Yorkers that lead to a lifetime of Minifigures addiction. The studio gods who produced Paradise Garage perfection, Moulton after Moulton. The divas that told our story – sequins never optional. Expect cowbells of the queen’s kind, some mighty moustaches, defiant darlings and a little bit of 80s electronic so queer after one listen you’ll be one too my dear. Plus we’ve a right lippy beaut of a Friday banger from Midland and Dua and a detour of the sublime kind as we pay tribute to the glorious Mr Pete Hayward. But then where else would we celebrate our fruitiest of wild heroes but during a Brighton Pride Special on 1BTN? So come join us this Friday as we go hell for Leather Queen and clone it up with disco of the deviant kind. Stiff upper trashed lips and all.
