MollyFi’s Wildblood and Queenie Tribute Mix

Some days, we bloody love the internet. Connecting us with wonders from across the world, united in love for a decent bassline and the love of lesbian nightlife history. Yes, nothing brings a grin sooner than a random act of appreciation. Nothing. So it is with thanks and a sense of unbelievable chuffed-ness that we give our virtual Thanks-For-Making-January-Better flowers to the amazing DJ MollyFi from Canada’s Girls On Decks DJ Collective & Boombox Boutique. for sending us her recreated DJ mix, inspired by one of our LGBTQI+ History Month Instagram posts last February, as we shared one of our 1994 set lists from when we were running Brighton’s first lesbian house music night, Shameless Hussies at the original Concorde on Maderia Drive. Vinyl treasures connecting to our lesbian community on the socials and somehow, with MollyFi’s great skill and appreciation, finding its way to Soundcloud in 2026 as she recorded her version of Shameless Hussies 19th March 1994 at her weekly Rollerrink gig. It really is one of the kindest, most wonderful random acts of lesbian community we’ve had the pleasure to land in our DMs, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did on first listen. A joy connecting 21st-century Calgary in Canada to the hope and sweaty dancefloors of lesbian Brighton back in ’94, joy brought to you by the brilliant DJ MollyFi. Thanks, Molly – see you at the front one day.
