So this is a first – us and our Arnie as cover stars. Yes, for some reason, our mugs have been deemed suitable enough to help launch the return of the all-new print edition of Scene Magazine here in Brighton and Hove. A LGBTQ+ History Month special that centres on the politics of memory — who is written into history, who is erased, and why those questions feel increasingly urgent. Just what we need as the threat to our present remains an ever-increasing danger. Time to take stock, learn lessons of the past and focus on the power we have as a community to make lasting future change. That and admire the Chris Jepson’s Uncut Proud Joy captured grin on a certain Portuguese Alopeca tail-less rescue dog who landed in a certain pair of lesbians’ laps. Arnie, the cover boy, god we’ll never going to hear the end of this!
