Perfect Distraction: Róisín Murphy’s All My Dreams

The joy of those early clubbing days, the blur, the beer, the bass, the wide eyes, the big grins, the hands in the air, the oversized jumpers, (hence the sweat), the randoms, the escape, those hats, the queers, the not so queer, the hugs, the strangers becoming family. Róisín Murphy captures it all in the video for her latest slice of elegant electronica, the glorious All My Dreams.

And glorious it truly is as Róisín Murphy and Maurice Fulton create a moment of ridiculously sexy music. But then when a woman as boss as Róisín Murphy names a tune All My Dreams you know there’s more than an outside chance of them becoming true. Here’s to the next of many dream pairings this summer of Murphy and Fulton. Baggy nostalgia and all.

Róisín Murphy All My Dreams / Innocence is out now on The Vinyl Factory. Buy digitally here or treat yourself  to some limited edition “hip-twitching, pleasure-centre-stimulating” vinyl here. Yes buy not steal. Remember kids, home taping is killing music.
