Forgive my charmed disco head, but I can’t quite remember exactly the year it was when it was I first stumbled into the path of Wild Fantasy. But every party since has been one I’ll never forget, as DJs Neal Schtumm and Andy Singh deliver grooves that forever put a grin on my face. But then with all those Schtumm memories, terrace parties, Pride wonders and years of decent deck action behind them, it was always certain that they would occupy a very special place in my disco sequined heart.
So when Wild Fantasy came calling this summer and asked Queen Josephine and I to join their new party venture Wild Family I was one honoured DJ. Having shared the decks with these masters of the groove (and the never understated shirt) at Patterns and Horse Meat Disco‘s legendary seaside adventures, there was no way this lass could say no. After all, when the beards are as coiffured as the beats they deliver how could a disco loving lady refuse?
And when they added Brighton’s finest beachside terrace at The Tempest Inn, a especially installed Traction sound system, and a certain suave beats maestro, DJ, producer, multi-instrumentalist and Tru Thoughts hero called J-Felix to the disco equation, the deal was done (even before they added our names to a tote bag).
So if you fancy enough glitter and glad rags to impress Steve Rubell and Ian Schrager (rumours that Queen Josephine has booked a white steed for the occasion cannot be verified at the present time) and some saucy seaside house and disco infused grooves designed solely to keep you dancing all night then its time you, like me and the missus, joined the Wild Family. Because when their party tag line is “for the extravagant, the unrestrained, the Wild Family” you just know you have to be part of their family. The ever fabulous, forever wonderful Wild Family.
Wild Family at The Tempest Inn, Brighton, Friday 8th June 9pm-close. Free entry. DJs J-Felix, Wild Fantasy and two birds called Wildblood and Queenie. For more info and to say you’ll be there click here.
