In the trim of the monthly DDs (a much-needed tradition we’re all becoming too acquainted with) the discussion about the essentialness of a direct debit is a continuing one. Charitable donations regretfully ditched, health and wellbeing organic exclusives sidelined for some middle aisle own brand “that’ll do”, doorstep deliveries and sassy subscriptions cancelled. It’s been one of those years, it’s gonna be one of those long winters. But as much as managing without seems the only option right now, some things are never optional and for me, one of those has to be my 1BTN subs. My donation. My radio community connection. Talking to you, playing for you, connecting with you via the FM, the log-in, the dial that can never be unlocked means the world. 1BTN is one of life’s few essentials and a DD I can never drop.

But sadly with the bills as they are and those who should be still swerving the windfalls and the non-dom taxes, we dear ones need to continue to do what we can to keep the lights on this winter.
