Dance For Peace on Sunday 11th February was just that. A dance for peace brought to you by the sound heads of Nick Hook and Affy Wajid and the hearts of our Brighton DJ community. A community Queenie and I were proud to be part of as DJs including Seamus Haji, Scott Diaz, Evil Tom, Nick Hook, Mizaru, Pook, Miss Monument, Nina Carina, Bruno Numero Uno, Chema Gonzalez, James Mackie, Carl Loven, Billy M, Black Octopus, Koipinoxia, Anna C, Chrissy Millard, Mick Fuller, Nick Titchener, Nick Record, NJ Strange, Ellie Talebian, Sophie Paul, Eugene Glasgow, Myssy B, Ben Monk, Ben GC and two disco dears called Wildblood and Queenie filled the sold out arches of Volks Nightclub with decent tunes and never-ending love. Turned on to the need in Gaza, tuned into a community, brought together as one ready to Dance for Peace. Just as it should be. Thank you to every soul who made it so, especially the incredible passion of Affy and Nick, working together and raising over £2000 for Medical Aid For Palestine. You were all magnificent. Proving somethings in life matter more that disco politics, DJ egos, and jaded souls. On a rainy Sunday night and everything.
