My Queer Museum: Wildblood and Queenie

So it’s finally happened. We’ve ended up where we belong, in a museum. Yep, we’re that old. Wildblood and Queenie – archived for the nation thanks to My Queer Museum as we babble on about basslines past, discos done and lesbian adventures had. It’s all here. Every grown breaking moment of history you’d expect from two old queer disco dears as we donate to the archive three beloved items – Queenie’s bongos, the legendary building that is 10 Marine Parade (aka The Escape Club, Audio and Patterns) and our radio microphone.

So if you fancy tales of appreciation and queer adventures as we chat to My Queer Musicum’s wonders Roni Guetta and David Sheppeard (Wildblood filter-free) about Sunday Sundae, Shameless Hussies, the lesbus, our 1BTN family, LITM, lockdown radio, Brighton’s Zap Club, the joy of the bicker, the importance of queer nightlife, fluro gaffa, our enduring love of disco, the importance of radio for the neurodivergent soul and those (ahem) three, yes, three wedding days you know what to do. Tune in and don’t drop out. Our elderly hips couldn’t take it.

Check out our whittering on today via My Queer Museum. All the thanks to Roni and David for inviting us and big love to Rowan Rush-Morgan for the truly humbling concluding words and the disco realness. The blush is on. Thank you.
