Its official, it’s time to get excited. The big Brighton Gay Dance Weekend is almost here and its time to celebrate all that is fabulous about the proud Brighton that we love. Parties till dawn that will ensure a smirk on your face for months to come as Brighton Gay Dance Weekend 2011 delivers the most special of Pride days.
I have the pleasure and honour of playing at some of the weekends finest parties including the Gaydar Welcome Party ‘Latino Lovers’ at Audio on Friday with the delicious Mikalis, Hollie, Lil Alex, Queen Josephine and special guest DJ Douguim whilst the infamous Wild Fruit Pride Terrace Party at Audio come Saturday daytime will be Brighton’s hottest spot. Park? What park?
Saturday night and its all about Club Shame @ Digital as some right Shame wonders including DJs Hifi Sean, Paul Heron, Pete Hayward and Lee Harris, a live PA from the amazing Kym Mazelle and the eyepopping darlings that are porno stars hosts Bruno Knight and Ben Brown deliver a night to remember. I shall then be shimmering my way across to Wild Fruit Superqueeroes – Post Pride Party at Audio to catch DJs Handsome & Cutie (Haji & Duffie) do their thing.
Sunday and the only destination is the Sunday Sundae Pride Mirror Ball Party 12 Hour Session. There really is no other party like it in Brighton as DJs and clubbers unite to create love in the open air (oh er missus!) If you do Pride Sunday Sundae you’ll know what I mean. If not then this is your chance to catch the party everyone remembers. Get there early to guarantee entry and strut your sexy Sundae stuff to special guest DJ Thomas Gandey (AKA Cagedbaby) joining Guy Williams, Jeffery Hinton,Fat Tony, Fredi Dimanche, Mikalis (just how many legends can you fit in one DJ box) and myself and the ever regal Queen Josephine B2B for a extra special Sundae closing set.
Then we’ll be hitting Rebel Supersized – Pride Afterhours at Digital to shake a groove thing, smile a lot and feel the wonder that is the city I love at Pride.
Brighton Gay Dance Weekend. Expect tunes of wonder, shared moments of randomness with people you’ll never see again and that warm, warm glow that only comes after weekend of clubbing with your nearest and dearest. For those about to feel the Pride I salute you. We’re all Superqueeroes!
