Wildblood and Queenie’s Spring Wonder Vol.4: The max-imal deep house one

Something about the sunshine has me spun out. Its the season to get saucy, sap rising and all that. Our latest mix is all about the deeper side of house reflecting what has to be the forthcoming sound of summer 2012? Sod the SHM and their version of EDM, this is exquisitely divine music. Oh and you’ll also find its actually house music. DJ Sneak would approve.

From the grumbling undertones of Alexis Raphael to the life affirming beats of Huxley (has one tune ever been more deserving of knowing grin at the traffic lights?) to the lazy L.U.V. like simplicity of So Phat this mix delivers a hour of the right deep and decent. And as for Mr Kyo and his retake on my all time favourite Wonder tune. Well words but thankfully not a groove fail me. It is simply insisting on your attention. As is the mix finale and Electronic Youth’s ‘I Wish’. Surely contender for tune of the year already?

So there you have it. Queenie and me and our first Spring Wonder of 2012. Handle with care. You might just find yourself falling. For the deeper stuff. Enjoy x
