Djing beachside always does it for us. Something about the waves – sound and sea – that gets us right where we want it to, in the seat of our glittering pants. And so it is a real honour to be joining the Calabash and Bango family this Brighton Pride Saturday for The Queer Takeover. A night fuelled by the roots of queer dance club culture and the joyous sounds of house and disco. A party for queer folks and their fabulous allies, Calabash and Bango will host a plethora of dancing wonders (that’s you guys) and DJs (that us guys) including Pushy C, Affy GoBang, Carlos Gonçalves da Costa, Steve KIW, Mommy Queerest, Russell Ruckman and the infamous Grace Sands. A party unashamedly about our Queerness, our diversity and our voice and, as all good Pride parties should be, about fundraising. Its time for The Queer Takeover at the Fortune Of War, its time to be one big fantastic family, its time to get fabulous by the sea.
