We Are Love 2024 was all about the family. Our chosen disco family. A family we can’t be without. A family that makes life feel (and sound) so much better with them in it. It was a weekend of joy and jumping as the odds were defied and we danced like no one was watching. Thank you to every soul who made it so – to Mickey, Denzi, Jon and the WAL crew for bringing the joy to life, to Chris, Steve, Hayley and The Chill Out Tent family for welcoming us to their plot of perfection and sweet supplies of curry and perfect tea, to Affy and our fellow House Of Go Bang DJs from bringing the sass to Sunday, to Mama’s and Tat Coffee for the fuel, to our forever charming tent neighbours, to Duncan and family for the dance class, to Crazy P and Bungaroosh for bringing the wiggle makers, Fire, Salt & Sea for the heat, to the souls in the shower queue for their in-depth Sunday morning explanation of the (under pressure) plumbing process, Steve for the Stevie, to the Arsenal kids (Saliba!) for the dance moves and to River for the unexpected cuddles in the dancing area. All the love to our 1BTN crew who took two old queer dears and made us your own. What would we do without you? And finally to the dancers – oh the dancers in The Chill Out Tent come 9:55 on Saturday night. The grin you created in our souls will live long after the disco dust has settled. You are why we do this, you are why we love our job, you are love. Thank you.
