So it would appear I’ve been shortlisted for the Creative Future Writers Award 2026. Not bad for an Essex kid who failed their CSE English first time round.
The theme was texture, a theme this hsberdasher’s kid couldn’t resist as I merged those moments pinned into pink, shopped in public and patterned into an atypical blueprint I could never match to create my take on the fabric of this autistic kid’s childhood in Frinton.
Any advice on what to do next – as this writer battles the RSD and attempts to continue in this well-trodden path of a writer’s possible potential. One lingering to-do list at a time.
