The Day Nurse failed me. The balsam wasn’t strong enough. But luckily on International Women’s Day weekend I could rely on the women. Especially two women, the wonders that are Queen Josephine & Kathy Caton. Yep Wildblood & Queenies’ Home Service on Brighton’s RadioReverb had the award-winning touch as Brighton’s favourite LGBTQ champion broadcaster came off the bench, did her best Wildblood impression (maybe less smiling next time Kathy!) and joined my queen for an hour of tunes, giggles and lady love.
A celebration of the finest in female producers, DJs, artists and remixers Caton & Queenie’s Home Service was a beauty – hand crafted by a flu ridden me and delivered in style by Reverb’s finest. And it was part of a record smashing (not literally) weekend as RadioReverb went all Reverbathon on us and Brighton’s airwaves. Congrats to each and everyone one of the RadioReverb souls and supporters who made the marathon weekend broadcast so special, to the beauts who supplied the tunes and the cheeky wonders who kept our indents cool and in the family.
