Gary Speed
Today on Facebook, somebody responded to Gary Speed’s untimely death by questioning him how he could do it to his family. Now I expected to be angry at the jokes but the anger I felt to this response to his death got to me. The whole reasoning behind suicide is you lose all ability to reason. You don’t think about anyone else anymore because you … Continue reading Gary Speed
Matilda: A Journey with Objects – reaching a final destination
It would appear my project is coming to a natural conclusion. After a tutorial and a touch of re-jigging presentation wise (mountboard discarded) I’m hitting the finish line. Matilda is entering weeks of mock-exams and time is running out as the deadline approaches, but as I reflect on the results of my photographic adventures I’m happy with the results. I didn’t get every shot in … Continue reading Matilda: A Journey with Objects – reaching a final destination

Perfect Distractions: Maxxi Soundsystem & DRW ft. Royston ‘Open Your Eyes’
Today I bought slippers. Today I had a flu jab. Today I felt old. But then I did the decent thing and purchased myself a copy of Maxxi Soundsystem & DRW ft Royston’s ‘Open Your Eyes’ and everything was alright with the world again. The just so Xylo-loops, the bouncing bassline and the lazy delivery of Royston’s vocal make everything alright. The spring in my … Continue reading Perfect Distractions: Maxxi Soundsystem & DRW ft.
